Just a few days ago the BBC broadcast a documentary, namely the well known 'The Culture Show' and focused upon the subject, which was named 'The Art of Chinese Painting'. The programme was a trip through time of the unique and fascinating art form, from original court painters to the scholars; colourful Buddhist murals that evolved into monochrome ink landscapes. It described and extended upon techniques and methods of the masters, who came to be the key artists who changed the way we see this forever.
The programme was so inspiring and very interesting; it was created for the purpose of the new exhibition being held at the V&A entitled 'Masterpieces of Chinese Painting' which I intend to go see on the college trip to London.
