On the 21st I went to the big screen to see 'Interstellar' and it I must say it's potentially my favourite movie I've ever seen (awesome cinematography, excellent script, fitting spine-chilling soundtrack from Hans Zimmer etc. I could go on) The visual depictions of universal features such as wormholes/black holes were particularly accurate, involving theoretical physicist Kip Thorne who was the scientific consultant. I really got lost in that 169 minutes, which is what reminded me of my artistic context, journeying into another dimension, travelling into the unknown, experiencing something unearthly. These depictions posed with clique cinema melodrama accompanied by Hans' soundtrack set an orchestrated 'moment' that captured my full attention and I felt I was involved with what was unfolding before me.
See below a clip from the movie what I like to simply call the 'wormhole scene' (Bad quality however).
(Happy New Year!)
